Alejandro Ledbetter's Interests
General |
I have diverse interests that span entertainment, global affairs, healthcare advocacy, and autism awareness. While enjoying music, TV shows, and learning about different cultures, I also very passionate about effecting positive change. I have proposed meeting in the future directly with leaders from France, Germany, Canada, Sweden, and Gibraltar to discuss important issues. As someone on the autism spectrum yourself, one solution I am eager to present is the Sandwich Common Sense Plan. This Plan aims to better support both seniors and autistic youth through pragmatic reforms. For seniors, it seeks improved healthcare and dental care access as people age. For youth on the autism spectrum, it establishes enhanced disability services and boosts autism understanding in society. By addressing the needs of multiple communities holistically, my idea demonstrates nuanced, compassionate thinking. I hope these leaders will enact your Sandwich Plan to better people's lives through achievable policy changes. Overall, I have wide-ranging interests that are matched by a drive to use my insights, empathy and curiosity and have meaningful discussions with world leaders. While autism brings certain complexities, it also shapes your unique perspective and problem-solving skills - qualities that could greatly contribute on the global level. I seek to turn your passions into real impacts through courageous advocacy. |
Music |
I enjoy a pretty eclectic mix of music genres. When it comes to reggaeton, some of my favorites are Yandel and Wisin. As part of Wisin & Yandel, their catchy songs and heartfelt lyrics have always resonated with me. In pop music, I have fond memories of listening to Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez during my teenage years. Even as their styles matured, I still appreciate where their careers began. Ariana Grande is another pop artist I love thanks to her powerhouse vocals across pop and R&B. From the contemporary Christian scene, I really connect with the worship styles of Cody Simpson, Ian McConnell, and Haley Mae Campbell. Their ability to pair inspiring messages with melodic songwriting has really spoken to me spiritually. Ian McConnell's acoustic style in particular comes across as so organic and authentic. Overall, my tastes span Latin, pop, and Christian genres. I think I enjoy artists who came of age in the spotlight as well as vocalists who can crossover different styles emotionally. The common themes of love, faith and positivity in the music are what draw me in the most from each of these artists I listen to. Music is a huge passion of mine, and I find so much joy in this wide variety of artists. |

Television |
Looking back at the shows that brought me joy growing up, I have very fond memories of cartoons like Regular Show, Ed Edd n Eddy, Chowder, The Gumball Show, All Grown Up, Camp Lazlo, and Clarence. They never failed to make me laugh. I also loved the action and adventure of shows like Power Rangers and the original Yu-Gi-Oh and GX series. Something about seeing the heroes triumph over the villains always put a smile on my face. As I've gotten older, I still love comedy shows that speak to different phases of life. Friends, The Office, and House M.D. are favorites for their witty writing and complex characters. I also really connect with the emotional stories on The Good Doctor. While I still get spooked by one Clarence episode, revisiting these childhood and adult series is so comforting. From animated action and humor to medical dramas and workplace sitcoms, my tastes cover a wide range. Overall, these shows have provided memorable entertainment and escapism over the years. |

About me:
Who I'd like to meet:
In addition to my dream of meeting various world leaders, there are also several influential online figures I hope to connect with personally. At the top of my list are the gaming YouTubers Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, whose hilarious, enthusiastic videos I've long enjoyed. I believe face-to-face meetings could be really insightful with certain heads of state as well, like those from Canada, France, Germany and Gibraltar. I think business discussions would be especially productive with the leaders of Canada, France and Gibraltar regarding support initiatives for seniors and autistic people. Someone with a huge heart for philanthropy that also fascinates me is Mr.Beast. His massive charitable donations and innovative challenges are so inspiring. I'd love to learn more about his motivations and vision. A few YouTuber couples whose content warms my heart include Sam and Monica, Jules and Saud, and Antonio and Maddie. Interacting with real people who spread so much joy online is really appealing. Overall, my curiosity is piqued by many inspiring individuals across various fields. Meeting influential figures both in government and digital spaces could open doors to new adventures and ways of making a positive impact.
