paloma's Interests

General	my hobbies include: making playlists ; painting my nails ; and (trying) to fill up my sketchbook . i used to be rly into graffiti but i haven’t had time to slap my tag around lately. i go thrifting often, mostly for vintage jewelry. i live down the road to my local record shop, so if you see me there thrice in the same week look away. i collect CDs since vinyl are mad expensive haha. i also burn my own and make my own little booklets and all that. its tedious but i find it therapeutic. i have an obsession w tetris and some have questioned if i have a hint of the ‘tism bc of it e.e i’m a big fan of scifi and rly anything to do w the alien franchise. i’m currently reading the 80s alien comics >:3 im into horror as well but gore is such a bore and unnecessary to me. i play the electric guitar but when im drunk enough i consider selling it for a dj deck.
Music	i generally am open to all kinds of music but my statsfm (add me @leahpaloma) says i've been into : alternative ; indie rock ; indietronica . atm i’d say my top artists are radiohead, the strokes, mgmt, the growlers, STRFKR, empire of the sun, wild nothing, sticky fingers, king gizzard and the wizard lizard, and such. my spotify is @leahpaloma if you wanna check out what i've been listening to ! i’m BIG on concerts and gigs, i always buy 2 tickets to bring a friend. hmu if you’re ever in the area XD.
Movies	i practically live at the cinema atp haha. my letterboxd is @leahpaloma and my four favourites on there are : eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (2004) ; the florida project (2017) ; aftersun (2022) ; perfect days (2023) . i wouldn’t say im a cinephile but tell me why im at the cinema at least 6 times and log at least 20 films watched monthly. letterboxd is from new zealand so i get invites to letterboxd sponsored exclusive screenings ! lets go to the movies :3
Television	too many shows i've been on.. open to recs tho !
Books	currently reading: the dark horse alien comics >:3 last read: the invention of sound by chuck palahniuk ! i wanna get into more comics so if you have any recs give me shout !

About me:

hi ! i'm paloma, i'm 20 (MINORS SHOO) and i find mainstream social media platforms exhausting so i'm giving this a try haha.

im at uni double majoring in public relations and advertising despite hating the industries with a burning passion.

i'm probably dyeing my hair rn. i haven’t taken off my adult sized heelys since purchasing them in 2019. i am a single mother to my tamagotchi, just don’t ask me how he’s doing. i whip out my DS on public transport and my PSP on long plane rides because i am so mysterious and am such a black sheep. my stuffed animals have left me no space on my queen sized bed. i happily sleep on the floor some nights. i am an advocate for wired earphones. bring. them. back.

i move around often so maintaining friendships can be such a chore, so here i am deciding if online ones are any different ! i’m always keen on meeting new people, so don’t be shy to flick me a msg. :))
