Music

I do for real have pretty eclectic tastes, but I lean on more 80s new wave and 2000s emo/pop stuff.

Some of my current favorite albums right now include

The resistance - muse: i love the soundscapes and ideas it creates! And the ending symphony is amazing

New Clear Days - The Vapors: I found this album a yearish ago and its grown on me so much. Not quite punk, not quite new wave, using the shimmering vocals and scientific melodies in combination with harder punk sounds and ideas. Its great stuff!

Planet Masshirake - PinocchioP: man I don't speak Japanese i just like how this one sounds a lot and its a great album.

Movies

I like a lot of romance and sci fi movies! I've watched a TON of 80s movies lately, which is where I've found my love of films like Cocktail. I really like star wars but like, a healthy amount haha. 

Some of my favorite movies include:

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones - I really like the emotions behind this movie, as well as having tons of sci fi twists and turns. Maybe one of my favorite endings to a sci fi movie!

Cocktail - This is just comfort food at its finest, great soundtrack, great visuals, and a heartfelt narrative to tie it all together.

Twilight - While flawed, there's some magic in this movie that might equate to me watching it obsessively when I was 15, haha. I think it uses color grading to amazing effects, and I also enjoy how some of the darker moments are shot like a horror movie.

Television

I haven't seen a ton of TV lately haha, uhhhh watch the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya its my favorite anime

Books

I haven’t read many books lately, but years ago you couldn’t stop me, haha

I like classic lit a lot as well as some romance stories (the fault in our stars still makes me cry) but these days I mostly just read manga

Heroes

I’m gonna actually use this area for video games lol: I love rpgs! Adore them actually, it’s by far my favorite genre of video games. I used to be hugely fond of the ps2 and ps3, but a while ago I picked up an Xbox and Xbox 360 and oh my I like these a lot more haha.

Some of my favorite games include:

Phantasy Star 2: A more generic rpg, but in the way that it hits so hard when it does so some more interesting things. I love how the sprite work feels in between 8 and 16 bit design, and it uses the Sega Genesis soundchip amazingly!

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006): HEAR ME OUT I AM NOT BEING A CONTRARIAN. I really like the controls and the hub world, as well as the separate campaigns being split into specific characters like adventure 1! It gives a more singular story focus while also daring to be super weird in both ways that don't work but also genuinely really really work.

Final Fantasy X: I think final fantasy x has some of the most interesting character development in an rpg, as well as having a good gameplay system and fantastic music. Its one of those things I don't feel like I can even say a lot about, it is just that good. 

Fallout 3: Fallout 3 is my favorite video game, hands down. I love practically everything about it (maybe the main campaign could use some work..) I love how hard it is in the beginning, having to work your way up to even accruing the smallest amount of wealth. I love how the repair system is so unforgiving, as it makes looting feel more important, as it's a way to get more weapons to repair your own, and to get a weapon repaired is prohibitively expensive (New Vegas kinda ruined this mechanic but we're not here to talk about New Vegas haha)

I ESPECIALLY love the way you can move things around in the environment, as it gives you a chance to basically decorate in ANY way you want, absolutely anywhere. And with the fact they give you a home in megaton, its really fun to make that your home base and make it your own.
