undertale and deltarune primarily!! alongside lonely wolf treat because i used to be OBSESSED with that game series (alongside some of the spinoffs) when i was younger and im surprised by how niche it is? the fanbase is tiny and i was expecting it to be a little bigger :,(

Yup, it feels like you're in a fanbase of under a thousand people sometimes, the game has gone a long way since 2017 but it does sometimes feel like you're part of some niche unheard of community, though I am glad that Bad End Theater ended up being Nami's magnum opus, maybe the community might grow some time soon!

LWT I held onto more closely but Undertale has been very popular since it came out and I always enjoyed the memes that came out when the game was still fresh, so I've heard about Undertale since people were still trying to figure out all of the content. I think Undertale Yellow has definitely become my favorite right now, I felt some serious things when I finally finished pacifist

the interest in technology had me as well - specifically when you mentioned you rip cds that you own, i know how to burn cds and pirate music (including youtube to mp3 converters but most of them are jacked with some form of malware), but i didn't know you could rip existing cds until i read your profile, which was interesting.

modding windows is quite interesting too, one of my other spacehey friends mentioned how they were attempting to mod their windows laptop layout into looking like the ui from needy streamer overload one time (fonts and stuff included) and that was honestly pretty goated.

Yup, you just start your favorite ripper, insert a CD into the drive and wait up to an hour or two for the data to be put on the computer. I ripped every CD I own because I prefer having digital copies over physical media. It's because my computer doesn't have a CD slot, and all of my music is organized digitally anyway.

I'm familiar with YouTube to MP3 converters but I haven't really used any proper one since maybe 2021? I discovered about the music piracy scene and the million ways people have created music downloading from streaming services and I never turned back. I did make a blog post on that not too long ago in fact.
If you still absolutely need to download from YouTube for your audio files, I recommend this one, you can add file metadata in the editor, may need some configuration: https://ytmdl.deepjyoti30.dev/

I think I may know which user you're talking about? But I don't want to push my luck or misremember, so I'm not going to guess, but I do swear I used to know somebody who wanted to do that with their Windows install.
I'm more willing to talk about windows modding than actually do it because I've already tried many things and didn't like them long term. The only exception being maybe ExplorerPatcher, because I hate Windows 11's taskbar with a passion. Though I've heard about a lot of tools, the short list is RetroBar, WindowsBlinds, and all of those funny Arabic windows mods. I forgot who made them.

thank you so much omg, got really tired of trying to find websites that were malware-free after i used virustotal on almost all of them, only for them to be chock-full :( thank god antivirus exists but i need better mac protection bc avast is lowkey kind of crap

yeah, i only pirate music via converters from specific artists i dont want to support financially (though i can stream it if theyre defunct since no-one is being funded afaik) for my own reasons, but thats literally all there is to it lol.

There are way better ways to do it, YouTube downloading is convenient but if you try hard enough some people can tell that it really does not sound good. I definitely get not wanting to support people, that has been a driving force for me too, but people have found new ways. You can now download from Spotify among other places, so YouTube downloading has been unnecessary for me for about 4 years.

Sounds like you're on a Macbook (that's the right word right??). I main a windows laptop so I can't give much advice, but you might want to look into something else. If you want a simple website to download and nothing else, I can recommend lucida.to, which is a great place to ease into streaming service downloading. I can also recommend Soulseek if you were ever interested in stuff like Limewire, Nicotine+ is a great client to start with.

Yeah, spotify premium isn't worth it anymore. My recommendations don't depend on them, so if you're really itching, you could use my recommendations to get the audio then just place it in local files. Though there are way better ways to play this audio. Once again you're on Mac, so I genuinely have no recommendations for you right now :(, foobar2000 mac is barebones.
