Karolis's Interests

General

I really love music and art, as well as nature an photography. I like to go on walks or hikes when the weathers nice ^^ I'm also a big fan of Hannibal (I've watched all the movies and seen the HBO show, reading the books rn) and I also really like classic literature. I have a biiig interest in dinosaurs/palaeontology in general, as well as animals. I really like games, too, like Elden Ring, some COD games, Firewatch, The Sims 2/4, The Isle, Chernobylite, The Isle, and Gorogoa.

Music

I like all genres, so long as the songs themselves are good. My favourite genres, though, are definitely black metal (mostly dsbm), midwest emo, and indie. Dsbm bands that I like are Sorry..., Decalius, Xasthur, Psychonaut 4, and Kvavning. Of course I really like Darkthrone and Bathory, too! Midwest emo bands I like are TFB, McCafferty, Panucci's Pizza, American Baseball. Indie bands (ngl I'm pretty vague on what indie actually consists of lol so some of these might be a little inaccurate!) who I like are Car Seat Headrest (probably my fav band), Alex G, Coma Cinema, and bands like The Dodos, The Microphones/Mount Eerie. Other band, artists I really love are Mitski, American Football, Benny Benji, Salvia Palth, Birth Day, Micah Preite, and Sun Dots.

Movies

Brokeback Mountain is a movie I really love a lot and ngl I cried rlly hard the first time I watched it. I also like army mvoies like Saving private Ryan, Jarhead, 1917, and Blackhawk Down. Donnie Darko is another movie I'm quite fond of, as well Gummo, The Goldfinch, Dead Poets Society, the HTTYD movies, The Ritual (I've read the book, too), and Treasure Planet.

Television

I don't watch much TV "^^ I prefer youtube, but the one TV show I do watch and really, realllyyy love is Hannibal!

Books

Right now I'm Reading Thomas Harris' Red Dragon and I'm planning to read the other three books too, I'm really loving it so far! It's a really easy read, but still super interesting and I love the way he writes Will and Hannibal. I've also read The Ritual, and even though the latter half was kind of very strange, I enjoyed the book a lot. I saw the movie first and that interested me. I love classic Russian literature, even if it can be hard and difficult to read, if not downright frustrating sometimes. Nabokov's Despair was the book that got me into the genre, and then I tried to read Pale Fire but only managed to get about halfway though ahah, maybe I'll finish it one day. I've been reading a lot of Dostoyevsky, too; the first book of his I read was Notes From Underground and I was immediately in love with his writing. It was difficult but so, so interesting. Then I read White Nights (genuinely amazing book, tore me to shreds), Crime and Punishment, and rn I'm reading House of The Dead.
