BruhOdyssey's Interests

General

In very narrow terms, I'm a nerd. History is the pillar with the biggest girth in my temple of hobbies and passions. Traveling, cooking, video games and studying languages, those are the well-polished, Corinthian style pillars.

Music

I am the incarnation of the bizarre mix of mom and dad music. It's either old pop, or old rock. I am actively trying to cultivate my knowledge in classical music though. Nowadays my Spotify is loaded with relaxing, focusing and sleeping music because I am hellbent on creating a ✨relaxing✨ atmosphere in my room.

Movies

I am not much of a movie guy, because I don't have the patience to watch them alone. My programming requires more than one person to join me in watching them, otherwise I just cannot. But if I were to pick some faves, I really loved "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen and Le Clan des Siciliens with Alain Delon.

Television

I don't really watch any sort of series alone, and people keep bombarding me with stuff like "yOu shOuLd tOtaLlY wAtch t h i s sHoW". But they mean good, you know? They really enjoyed the show, so it's only natural to spread the word around about how great it is. I watched The Crown with my family in the weekends, though. It was super neat, a nice mix between history and palace gossip.

Books

It's been a humongous while since I last touched fiction. Last book that I wasn't required to read for school and that I had enjoyed was "Winnetou" by Karl May. Fabulous Wild West themed novel, and I totally recommend it. Other than that, I really want to get into H.P. Lovecraft's work, because the horrific mysteries really vibe with my interest in hermeticism.

Heroes

Konrad Adenauer, for the epic quote he gave the Foreign Minister of France, Christian Pineau, in 1957 regarding the creation of the EEC: “France and Britain will never be superpowers like the United States and the Soviet Union. Neither will Germany. The only way for you and for us to play an important role in the world is to unite Europe. Britain is not ready for it yet, but the Suez Crisis has made this historical change possible … Europe shall be your revenge.”
