General

I enjoy anything gothic (fashion, media, music, art, etc). I love Alice in Wonderland, horror movies, books, video games, writing, Elvira, and cats.

Music

Goth and its various offshoots and related genres. This includes horror punk/psychobilly, darkwave, goth rock, industrial, dark pop, riot grrrl, dark cabaret, along with some emo, metal, and pop punk. I also enjoy hyperpop and (especially aggressive) synthwave. I primarily prefer bands with female vocalists. My favorite bands/musicians include The Birthday Massacre, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Patriarchy, Rosegarden Funeral Party, My Chemical Romance, Sisters of Mercy, Jack Off Jill, Emilie Autumn, Strawberry Switchblade, Alice Glass, Mr. Kitty, Night Club, Creature Feature, Hole, Schoolyard Heroes, Ethel Cain, Concrete Blonde, Elysion, and IC3PEAK.

Movies

Horror is my favorite genre, and I especially love slashers, giallo, fantasy horror, and female-centered psychological horror and/or dramas. I also enjoy surreal fantasies and dark comedies. My favorite films include Alice in Wonderland, Alice (1988), Suspiria (1977), Ginger Snaps, May (2002), You're Next, Inferno (1980), Picnic at Hanging Rock, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Blood Tea and Red String, Possibly in Michigan, Perfect Blue, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (1988), Beetlejuice, Sucker Punch, Annihilation, The Craft, The Company of Wolves, Hausu, Heathers, Scary Godmother, Alice, Sweet Alice (1976), Black Christmas, Halloween, Scream, and Girl, Interrupted.

Television

I don't watch a lot of TV shows, but Daria is definitely my favorite show. I also enjoyed Downtown, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Chainsaw Man, Ruby Gloom, Arcane, and Russian Doll.

Books

I primarily read horror novels and the occasional dark fantasy or bizarro fiction. My favorite series are The Raven Cycle and the Wayward Children series. My favorite novel is, of course, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. My favorite authors are Shirley Jackson, Angela Carter, Elizabeth Engstrom, and Michael McDowell. I have a neverending to-be-read pile that I keep adding more than I keep finishing.
