Hi there!!! My name is Skyler James. I'm an '07 baby on the west coast. I love music-- listening, making, watching-- I love music in any capacity. I work full time but still try to find time to do things I enjoy (like this)

Music

The list is insanely long but here are my current top ten: blink-182, Deftones, Incubus, Angel Du$t, Anthony Green (just his entire discography including bands he's been in), Thursday, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Neil Young, and Alanis Morrisette. Some others I enjoy (more niche, if you know these bands, friend me ASAP!) In:Aviate, 108, Carsex, Eros Radio, Passenger Action, and Edaline.

Movies

I'm the kind of person who can enjoy a deep, profound, well-made movie while also being able to love a shitty Hallmark Christmas movie. Some of my favorites include: Taladega Nights, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, Beautiful Boy, Team America: World Police, I Saw the TV Glow, Scooby-Doo (live action), and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Television

South Park is my absolute FAVORITE. A couple of others are: Rick and Morty, Spongebob, Scooby-Doo, The Walking Dead, Derry Girls, Supernatural, and Smiling Friends.

Books

I mostly read spiritual non-fiction, self-help, poetry, music history, and memoirs. I'm currently reading Train Wrecks & Transcendence by Vic DiCara. I just finished Someone Hwo Isn't Me by Geoff Rickly. My next read is From the Basement by Taylor Markarian.

Heroes

I mostly look up to my dad and my boss. But celebrity wise, it's 100% Anthony Green and Geoff Rickly. Their openness and rawness about their struggles and the way that has translated into their music careers just inspires me in a way no one can top.
