Sonic the Hedgehog[b] is a 2020 adventure comedy film directed by Jeff Fowler (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller based on the video game franchise of the same name created by Sega. It stars Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Neal McDonough. It is the first installment in a planned Sonic the Hedgehog film series.
