General

i write fanfiction. i shan't link it here, because i'm relatively embarrassed about it, but feel free to ask for a link to my ao3 or what i write about or whatever. i also write other types of fiction, chiefly short horror stories.

i also play guitar, and have been since i was maybe three or four. i also sing. rarely, i mess around with electronic music tools. i occasionally compose and record music.

Music

#2 mountain goats fan forever and ever (my partner is mountain goats fan #1). lately, i've actually found myself enjoying one of john darnielle's side projects, the extra lens, more than the mountain goats.

i'm a huge fan of dad rock (think, like, 70's classic rock), prog rock, various types of metal, hardcore punk, industrial music, disco, powwow music, new wave, and various indie/midwest emo type artists.

Movies

i love horror movies, especially the weird ones! i'm always happy to hear horror movie reccomendations. besides horror, i watch a LOT of documentaries, especially on things like railroad and industrial disasters.

Television

i don't watch much tv, but when i do it's usually law and order: svu¹ or, like, american dad. i have bad taste in tv. occasionally i watch anime, usually shoujo (#JusticeForKamisamaKiss). oh, and i really love the amazing world of gumball.

1. do not fucking take my enjoyment of this show as a reflection of my view on cops. i have been shot at by the fucking cops. all cops explode and die forever. i am, however, a big fan of ice-t.

Books

i mainly read horror and thriller novels, but lately i've been dipping my toes into mysteries.

currently reading the decagon house murders.
