About me:
I'll start with the fact that I'm a trans masculine, disabled social worker--three things that don't usually mix well per se. But I got my BS in social work and a Masters of healthcare administration. I worked a bunch of really shitty jobs before I got the one I have doing case management now. I definitely greatly value my undergraduate, graduate and post graduate work/certifications, but my experience in those post grad positions prepared me perfectly to be the social worker i am today. I absolutely love what I do every day of my life, and know that I am absolutely blessed to be able to say so. As to my hobbies? " Is there anything you don't do?" people ask me a lot. Well, for one thing ice hockey and swimming are the things I'm interested in physically. When I'm able to, I like to do water aerobics/lap swimming for up to an hour or so a few days a week to help with my chronic pain issues related to my disability. I love to go ice skating with friends and show off how fast I can ice skate, I have to admit. But more than anything I love teaching people how to ice skate using the techniques teachers used with me growing up. Music is how my soul breathes, as is poetry. I consider myself a decent lyricist and love reading other people's poetry as well. I love art trades and doing artsy/craftsy stuff for friends as well! I love to spin my levitation wand and dance for raves thrown by my friends in EEO places, being treated well.
