M Teresa Clayton's Interests
General |
I am a writer/poet. I am published. I love the arts and music, as well as other writer's works. And as far as relationships go: I am like hundreds of helium filled colored balloons held fast by one well grounded man. Every once in a while, one balloon will manage to break free - perhaps it will become tangled in tree branches or electrical wires, but sometimes one will drift away into the aether - free. However, to remain whole, I need one well grounded man, who can hold all those colorful balloons in the grip of one hand. |
Music |
All types of music appeal to me except hard-core jazz, rap and hip-hop. I am a synesthete. Hearing music expresses itself in other senses. |
Movies |
Some of favorites include - old horror movies like The Birds and The Haunting, the Godfather, Steel Magnolias, Billy Jack, etc. |
Television |
I'm not usually drawn to television - but I did love Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Good Fight, and now - Yellowstone. |
Books |
My own: Mystic Verses, Judith, Storyteller, My Name is Metaphor, The Garden of Secret Wishes, Sharim - a biography of the artist Gabriella Garza Padilla. Also, the upcoming Umbral Garden, The Gossamer Web, and another untitled piece. I love Shirley Jackson's Haunting, I read most of Stephen King and other horror writers, Poe, the books Illusions, No Death-No Fear, The Life and Death of Billy Fingers, The Shack, Lovely Bones, Red Tent, Stranger in a Strange Land, etc. |
Heroes |
My heroes are personal; friends and family. |

Teresa Clayton has the kind of imagination that leaves the reader with tiny shards of her insanity embedded in their own minds, you can feel the stabbing reminder just beneath the façade – trying to work its way to the surface.” James Beck – The Moorings “Once more M. Teresa Clayton captures your attention inside a nightmare that appears to be our own.” The Charon Chronicles “Mirror, Mirror on the wall… M Teresa Clayton puts a new spin on that old rhyme with her novella JUDITH. You may find yourself covering all the mirrors in your house
