General

My interests include history, politics, philosophy, religion. My favourite historical periods are interwar Europe and the aftermath of WW1, late Roman history, the Cold War and early post-colonial Africa. Politically I am yet undetermined but am interested in anti-liberalism, and theories of traditionalism and collectivism. Naturally this leads me to similar matters in philosophy, like individualism, the soul and our moralities. Of religion I am most interested in Christianity and Buddhism. I also like art and economics but am less educated in those matters. I'm also interested in podcasts, I like Red Scare and even though it's slightly cringe Chapo Trap House.

Music

I like industrial music, synth music, and some 90s hip hop. My favourite artists include Vatican Shadow, Scattle and Molchat Doma.

Movies

I like a wide variety of movies, and am a big fan of Stanley Kubrick. My favourite films are The Shining and Robocop. I have an affinity for 80s action movies, some sci fi, and psychological thrillers.

Television

I don't really watch TV, the best TV series I've seen is Breaking Bad. I am currently watching the Sopranos, however.

Books

The most recent book I read was Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy which was an excellent story about the depravity of the Wild West. I also enjoyed recently the Temple of the Golden Pavillion by Yukio Mishima, which made a strong impression on me.
