General

I love so much to do with nature. I camp and hike, I canoe when the activity is available, though unfortunately I lack my own canoe. I'm well versed in the local reptiles and "bugs" even though I don't usually call them by their colloquial term. I used to want to be an entomologist, but college is expensive and I have a puny income with a great fear of student loans. As I said in my about, I do game. It's not as often as others game, but that's ok with me. I like all animals, favorites as mentioned are the things most people would hate like things with scales, too many legs, too little legs, fast little things, jumping/flying things, weird looking things, etc. Even so, wasps declare war on me without me being anywhere near the things they consider valuable so I hate them back. It's a mutual hate. It's fine.

Music

I love rock in general, with a casual disinterest in other styles of music. I don't actively choose to avoid other genres, but rock-type music generally clicks the most with me, so that's what I follow. If you send me a youtube link of an artist you like, I will usually share with you my commentary as I have an understanding and appreciation/respect for music in a wide sense and I cannot, WILL not, judge your sense of music to be worse than mine. Fair disclosure though, I can be hard on technique but I think that's the autism talking and I'm trying to be more aware of it. Back to the spirit of the section, my favorite rock umbrella genre is metal, specializing further into subgenres I love power, classic heavy, and thrash metal, with proggy, hairy, and/or deathy accenting. I love metal enough to have patches on a denim vest and a growing collection of band shirts. I'm going to have to somehow acquire an extra closet /just/ for those at some point. Not there yet, but I'll give it a couple years.

Movies

to be honest, I don't really watch movies all that often. You're welcome to suggest movies to me that are not gory or otherwise NSFW. Though, I do somehow find paranormal horror (no gore) to be hilarious. 

Television

I don't tend to watch many tv shows. You're welcome to suggest TV shows to me, but I know I don't like soaps or game shows.

Books

I'm not as well read as I want to be, but that's directly tied into the fact that I have too many hobbies elsewhere that are competing for my time when I have a hot second to do anything but work and laundry.

Heroes

Every metal band ever that adheres to The Rule; if you knock someone down, pick them up. Expanded, it could mean "don't make someone who's struggling suffer more due to your actions" and/or "don't be a dick, be good to people" And Steve Irwin. Or, the idea of what he tried to do for reptiles including crocodiles. Don't bring up any scandals. I won't hear them. Lastly but absolutely not leastly, the dude who aggressively encouraged me to have any kind of expression during band camp a crapton of years ago when I was in high school, who was the vessel which brought heavy metal to my awareness, if you're reading this dude, you know who you are. Thank you.
