pixcelation's Interests

General	I want to someday be able to make a living from my creative endeavors. I am a video content creator who runs a YouTube channel called 'pixcelation' where I (on occasion) post reviews and video essays on anime / gaming topics. I enjoy watching anime, though I tend to take it too far by watching too much.
Music	I find myself listening to a bit of everything, really. I have been known to appreciate artists like Coheed and Cambria at times, and at others I can have an anime / otacore playlist blaring like no tomorrow. I will always have a penchant, however, for a now-defunct band called I Haunt Wizards, which I initially discovered back on MySpace. I don't care if they never make music again, there will always be a space in my heart for them.
Movies	I don't watch a whole lot of movies nowadays — for obvious reasons. I do have my favorites, however. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a film I could probably watch over and over without it getting old. I also enjoy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as well as films like Get Out, and more or less the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Television	I could just name a bunch of the anime I love, but I'll spare y'all. I will say, though, Mr. Robot is one of the best television series' in years. On that list alongside it is Breaking Bad and Revolution, even if the latter got cancelled before its prime. It was good. I have found myself appreciating The Walking Dead since I gave it a rewatch last year. Angela Kang's seasons as showrunner have been some of the best in the series' lifespan and I hope the final continues that trend.
Books	I would be 'that guy' and just name my own book, but I won't do that. I am slowly working on a series, but ... I don't do a whole lot of reading nowadays, to be honest. I want to learn how to read for fun again after all these years. I will say, however, one series that I read (partly) as a kid that has gone underappreciated ever since is Remnants by K.A. Applegate. I guess most people read Animorphs and passed on Remnants, which is sad IMO.

Yahallo! My name is James, and by golly the fact that someone had the idea to remake MySpace in the year of our Lord 2020 is ... it brings a tear to my eye. One, dramatic, solitary tear, and then it falls to the ground whilst "One Day" by Matisyahu plays in the background. I dunno how often I'll really USE this site, just because I have no idea how many of my friends will join me as an early adopter, but who knows? It might be just the inspiration I needed to drop Facebook like a baby that's been set on fire.

Who I'd like to meet:

I want to meet, and perhaps even interview, Mike Toole, because we kinda look alike and during this conceptual interview, I want both of us to wear the same outfit and walk around downtown Austin asking people if they think we're related. I think that'd be ... just swell.
