i read 'when you reach me' by rebecca stead in the seventh grade for a book report. i reread it this year and it is poignant to dry winters when you are in middle school and your social globe may as well be it

Heroes

when i am stuck creatively and unsure of my direction, i love to revisit davey wreden's game 'the beginner's guide' on creative rut, sharing art with others, and how those things can get messy. 'the end poem' by julian gough for minecraft's end credits is also particularly special to me and i like it for putting things into perspective and remembering what i value.
