No negative bias except for hard to understand stuff.

Current favorite genres: Jungle, old-school Synthwave, metal, experimental (a la Allan Holdsworth)

Movies

Political intrigue FTW. Don't watch many now because of personal agendas disrupting the story.

Faves are martial arts instruction tapes, Wargames, the Matrix trilogy (and Resurrections to a smaller degree) And Matrix Hunter (AKA Cyber Wars), though I do enjoy hammy sci-fi like Star Wars from time to time.

Television

Anime does political intrigue right. As such, the Gundam series and most spinoffs, FLAG and others are my faves, though I do like watching cool stuff like Jojo's from time to time.

Books

A book I read recently was called Born of Defiance. It shows the beauty of the struggle with the main character, who, being a half-vest, is banned from common things, such as having a wife and children, and is stuck fighting for his life to avoid going broke in a colosseum.

Heroes

Anyone who's an expert in their field and not some money-grubbing fraud. Namely, motorsport manufacturers, Steve Irwin (rest his soul) and ESPECIALLY Yamaha with their Motoroid 2.
