About me:
I'm an introverted person - as in, I recharge the most by spending time by myself - with some loud opinions. Like: capitalism is about greed. If you have to hustle to survive, you are not living your best life, and that's by design. If Jeff is sitting on more money than he knows what to do with, but doesn't use it to make the world better, what's the fucking point? I believe our societies are so caught up in making more money or marinating in sexism & racism & ableism that we overlook the very people in it. We overlook and denigrate empathy, and then wonder why society breaks down. The asshole yelling at grocery store employees doesn't wash his hands or get vaccines, never returns his cart, lane changes at the last minute, and votes for the authoritarian who tells him he's right to feel threatened for being asked to change his behavior - because he's confused his behavior with his identity and doesn't know who he is without it. I tell you, "I'm a cisgendered bisexual woman" and that's only the beginning of saying who I am. It doesn't tell you, for example, that I've sat and thought about what "woman" means to me (and it doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with primary or secondary sex characteristics), and arrived back where I started with acceptance & knowledge. I'm a woman because I say I am. Because I want to expand what that means, and that means exploding rigid little definitions to begin with. And that makes sexists & GCs mad and scared, because they don't know who they are without hiding behind "gender." I'm bad at blurbs, because I hate reducing everything to a 10-second soundbite for your consumption. :)
Who I'd like to meet:
See above: I'm introverted. I'm not really wanting to "meet" people. Not saying I don't want to make friends with anyone, just that this pandemic brought home to me what I most value: my time & energy. So if I'm going to expend any of that, I want to be picky and do so with like-minded folks. I'm getting older, not younger, so I don't put up with drama & bullshit & bigotry. Save energy for calling that out or being enthusiastic about the people & things you love, learn discernment so you know when to stand up or when to let go - pick your battles. Anyway, when I'm not at work or spending time with my wife & cats, I'm chilling playing a videogame. Sometimes ESO. (I'm a "free" player - bought the base game, never bought anything else.) I'm not in any guilds because I go through phases of intense playing every day, then dropping off for months (so I get booted). I'm in a Skyrim phase right now. If you totally get this, we might be compatible as friends or guildies.
