General	Writing, Music, Skin Care, Candles, Cats, Outreach activities/Service/Activism, Grief process, Meditation.
Music	Every genre. I won't rule any out. I listen least to Metal and EDM.
Movies	The Artist; Casablanca; The Treasure of Sierra Madre; A Beautiful Mind; The Fantastic Mr. Fox (Wes Anderson movies in general); Honestly...There are way too many to mention. I like old greats and excellently crafted newer films. Not a super fan of action or 'Comic book' films, although Deadpool is hilarious.
Television	Huge variety here. It completely depends on my mood. No, I haven't seen GOT. Probably won't. Ok with that. Love How I Met Your Mother because it was obviously written all at once (or sketched heavily). Justified is spectacular, and I didn't expect to like it. That has some of the best acting and writing of any show that I have seen. Sometimes I need something light, but usually, I love terrific characters that are well acted so I can binge watch like I'm reading a book.

Heroes	My Great Aunt Maud. My sons. My daughter. I see heroes in people everyday. They just aren't usually recognized as such and they rarely recognize it in themselves.

About me:

Caffeinated mother of 3; 2 living. Wife for a very long time. Cat mom to 3 and always contemplating more. Loves writing, music, occasional cooking, meditation practices and being by the ocean, but lakes will do. Grew up on an island, which explains my pull to water. I'm a blanket hoarder with too many fuzzy socks and I'll definitely buy more. I have a skin care and a scented candle obsession and not I'm not sorry about either one. Live life as best I can with these rule: Respect. Belonging. Truth. Teamwork. Boldness. Responsibility. Substance. Discipline. Excellence. Joy. (Those were Pete's ROTR, but I like them as life guidelines.) In non-Covid times, I spend time in my community helping families experiencing homelessness with shelter, food and things that make their lives a little easier; and in other outreach activities.

Who I'd like to meet:

Artists of all types, friends who used to haunt MySpace when C had her fantastic artistic parlor of sorts where we'd gather and share whatever we had or just Be. People who have lost loved ones and are still working through that--especially parents who have lost children.
