hiii!! im gerard rafael, but you can call me gee, rafa or melly :3 i'm a brazilian teenager, non-binary, omnisexual and autistic. i'm basically a walking collection of hyperfixations, random interests, strong opinions and music references. i'm very much an emo and music is one of the biggest parts of my life. i can get REALLY excited when talking about something i love and i will probably yap about it for way longer than necessary, so if you ever let me talk about one of my interests, congratulations, you have unlocked the infinite dialogue option. i'm pretty chaotic, affectionate, curious and very passionate about the things i like. i love finding people who get genuinely excited about the same things as me, and i LOVE when someone lets me talk about my interests without making me feel stupid for knowing too little or too much about something. i don't think someone has to be an expert to enjoy a band, game, character, album or literally anything else. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ my biggest interests are music, bands and the weird little worlds that come with them. my main bands and artists include: fall out boy, my chemical romance, cobra starship, panic! at the disco, sleeping with sirens, pierce the veil, system of a down, deftones, slipknot, big thief, linkin park, green day and many, MANY others. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ my favorites within my fandoms i don't just like bands. i get VERY attached to specific members, albums, eras and songs. my biggest musician hyperfixations include: ♡ Pete Wentz, Gabe Saporta, Ryan Ross, Mikey Way, Kellin Quinn, Jaime Preciado, Serj Tankian, Chino Moreno, Joey Jordison, Adrianne Lenker i'm especially obsessed with bassists. if a band has a bassist who is interesting, there's a VERY high chance i'm going to notice them immediately. i love learning about bassists, looking at their instruments, watching live performances and staring at their basslines like they contain the secrets of the universe. Pete Wentz is probably my biggest Fall Out Boy obsession. I'm literally him, i love him the most, he makes my life happy even when everything is not okay (i promise) And YES, i know his allegations. i also have a ridiculous weakness for musicians who have that very specific 2000s emo/alternative look. if someone looks like they haven't slept since 2006 and plays bass, i'm already interested. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ i need a separate section for this because my obsession with bassists and bass guitars is genuinely ridiculous. i LOVE bass players. i love watching them play live, looking at their basses, learning what instruments they use, noticing their parts in songs and realizing how much personality a bassist can give a song. some of my favorite bassists include Pete Wentz, Mikey Way, Jaime Preciado and Shavo Odadjian my dream bass is crimson red. if i ever get one, i want it to look dramatic as hell and probably have some kind of FOB reference on it. i also really want to learn bass properly because i've always loved the idea of being the person in a band standing in the back with a bass while everyone else is losing their minds. basically: if you show me a cool bass, there is a 90% chance i will immediately become obsessed with it. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ outside of music, i spend a LOT of time drawing and making characters. i love creating OCs, giving them completely unnecessary amounts of lore and then becoming emotionally attached to them. i also love making playlists, decorating things, customizing clothes and accessories, doing makeup, making bracelets and collecting random objects that i think are cool. i'm a huge Pokémon fan and my favorite type is Dragon. some of my favorite Pokémon are dragonair and the goomy evolution line. i have extremely specific opinions about Pokémon and i WILL talk about them if you let me. i also love Stardew Valley, Brawl Stars and Tomodachi Life. i like cute things, especially when they're mixed with darker aesthetics. give me a black outfit, a bow, some eyeliner and a stupid little keychain and i'm happy. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ i also really like late-night conversations, stupid jokes, chaotic friendships, talking about hyperfixations, finding new music and discovering random things that i become obsessed with for absolutely no reason. i'm the type of person who can hear one song, become obsessed with the band, learn everyone's names, find their entire discography, rank every album and somehow end up wanting the bassist's exact instrument two days later. so yeah. that's basically me. if you actually read all of this, congratulations. you now know approximately 2% of myself lore™. ⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄ DNI if you're an adult / 18+. if you're racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist, xenophobic or generally prejudiced. if you make fun of people for their interests, music taste, fandoms or hobbies. if you judge someone's knowledge of a band or fandom based on how long they've been a fan. you don't need to know every song, member, album or piece of lore to enjoy something. if you're the type of person who treats “fake fan” accusations like a personality trait. if you are a >SUPPORTER< of Mindless Self Indulgence, Falling in Reverse or The Academy Is...
