About me:

Hello, world of Spacehey! My name is Samuel and I’m just an oversized animal with a keyboard.

I’ve been an avid user of the World Wide Web since I was, frankly, too young to be messing around on it. I used to build my own websites before I became bored of it and I used to be a user on the original Myspace (which was no positive thing, honestly). I don’t like or approve of social media as a general rule, but my wonderful partner enjoys the site and I have been needing a “new-ish” outlet, so here I am! :)

I love to read and learn, spending time out in nature when possible (especially for animal observation), I have a lot of nostalgia for the 90s and early 2000s, when I Grow Up I want to do something with dead things (i.e. I am obsessed with mortuary science, death studies and am an amateur paleontologist) and I am 33 years old. I'm naturally standoffish, but welcome chatting - but don't be offended if I'm slow to answer or don't answer at all - I live a pretty quiet life, but one I prefer AFK as much as possible! ;)

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm not really out to meet people, but I welcome meeting new fun folks, especially people who are friendly with my partner! We're really a shared experience. ;) If you share interests with me (or are just curious), shoot me a friend request and I'll consider.

I only accept friend requests from users 18 and over because I am an adult and to do otherwise is just weird! Plus, again, I am an adult. I really have a minimum in common with most 18 year olds, much less kids younger than that!

I absolutely do not welcome fascists, white supremacists & sympathizers, Zionists, terfs/gender criticals/whatever said losers are terming themselves these days, TCC, and the like. This is not a "DNI" so much as a statement of intent, since I block anyone I consider unworthy of my space anyway.

I try to project and easygoing and friendly vibe but I am not, by nature, an empathetic and friendly person. That said, I do my best, like everyone else. I'm not here for discourse or online arguments - I don't have the time or energy - and my opinions are only apt to change by careful research and thought, not discussion with strangers on so inane a website as Spacehey. So keep it chill and I'll do the same.
