Hello everyone.

I want to be heard. Because I can.

Russia is not one culture and not one language. Many peoples live on the territory of this country. Once, it swallowed them. Each of them still has its own songs, its own gods, its own fairy tales.

But every year their voice grows quieter.

Quieter.

And quieter.

And then — dead silence.

My culture is on the edge too. The speakers of Udmurt are mostly grandmothers. Because teaching the new generation is inconvenient. “There will be an accent.” “Why does she need Udmurt, no one speaks it anymore.”

And then they tell me:

— You are Russian.
— We are all Russian.

No.

My mother was no longer taught the language. Me — even less so.
