About me:

•Hello my name is Jesse.‎ •I have stopped working for money. ‎___________________________________________ •Yes, yes you read that correctly, Ive given up working for money. No I dont recieve government assistance either. ___________________________________________ •Looking back on my life there were certainly times where I can point back and say ahh, that was a moment leading up to my decision to stop working for money. ___________________________________________ •I look back to a moment where I forsook all the toys I had as a child and gave them to my younger brother... was that a token sign of my far off future? ___________________________________________ •I can think of a time I was working at a job and I was looking to get away from making money. I was in a conversation with a coworker (I can't remember his name), but he was telling me his plans of creating multiple income streams and residual income and I remember telling him that I personally was looking to get away from money. •We had been talking around some other coworkers and they jokingly said if that was the case, if they could have the money I was going to make for that day 😂😂😂 ___________________________________________ •I had a feeling that this was the direction I should head... but how? How do I make such a change? ___________________________________________ •Soo I started looking into homelessness. Usually being homeless is an outcome people wish to avoid, so maybe it was a bit strange for me researching "how" to be homeless, but that is what I did. • I had lots of questions and I was looking for answers ___________________________________________ •I would get home from work and researched bios of people who have lived homeless. I read on their experiences.• I researched about tiny homes, living out in the woods, living on a sailboat, living in a tent, living out of a backpack, couchsurfing, squatting, living in a car, living off a bicycle, living off a motorcycle... really.. I was looking for freedom! ___________________________________________ • I continued working jobs while also researching a viable solution, and that had me researching all of the above mentioned topics and more throughout the internet ___________________________________________ • I then turned 22 and things in life came to a point where I need to get away. At this point I was living in an Suv, a Mercury Mountaineer, and I was sleeping in the back of it• It was not a really complex setup I had, just a thin mattress in the back and some cheap black curtains to go around the back windows, no real modifications. I took the vehicle on a solo trip to Colorado(I was living in Texas at the time), and I took the bible with me. ___________________________________________ •So I was wandering about Colorado for a while, before I ended up in Salida Colorado. I didn' have any friends or family there and I was alone by myself (No pets either).• Just the bible and myself. • I picked up a job after spending a week and a half or so living in the vehicle parked in the hills surrounding the town. I got a job starting as a dishwasher at a seafood restaraunt ( I started cooking there shortly after). • During this time I would go to work ( not too many hours)and then read the bible, explore the town, and do some excercise. •This time really played a crucial role in my life ___________________________________________ • By reading the bible by myself ( I wasn't attending any church, or bible studies), just reading the bible alone daily, was changing me, and getting me to fear God and start thinking about changing my life ( Before this time I wasn't Christian, I didnt fight against God or believers but I wasn't for it either. But the bible was changing me ___________________________________________ •And so I was there in Colorado for some time and then headed back to Texas, a changed and changing person. •I got a job in a restaurant again in Texas, and at first I continued living in the SUV. But after, I started living out of a tent. ___________________________________________ •I was working a job and also sleeping outside. I eventually had two jobs that I worked and I would work both jobs throughout the day, and sleep in a tent. • I would wake up in the morning and go to work. •I rented the smallest unit in a storage facility and would go there in between jobs to change my clothes and change out the things I had in my bags ___________________________________________ • I found various spots to sleep outside around town ( Tomball, Texas) . Some nights I wouldn't use a tent, I would just use a tarp and a sleeping bag (coyboy camp). •I had a membership to a local Planet Fitness and would shower there after work ( I had other places I would shower, in bathrooms and hoses behind buildings as well) •It was at this point I consider my status as professionally homeless. •See, I wasn't taking drugs or drinking. At this point, I wasn't going to parties either.• I would work two jobs during the week, and then sleep at night. (For a short amount of time, I had three jobs, but the job didnt end up working out) ___________________________________________ •So during this period of my life, I was experimenting with what I needed in a backpack, different kinds of bags, getting acustomed to sleeping outside, getting used to carry around the bags (even into work 😂), finding different spots to stay. I was trying to find out how to escape "the system" ___________________________________________ •I was still reading the bible at this time, trying to get closer to God, trying to find out how to be a Christian. I started getting all my clothes printed with Jesus' name on them. And just in general trying to be about Jesus ___________________________________________ •This is at the point in the story where I found the Truth
