About me:

Who I'd like to meet:

The reality of growing up in Puerto Rico was defined by adaptation. Take the 2004 Hurricane: when the power cut for weeks, we weren't thinking about the grid; we were just linking up our Game Boy Advances by cable and trading Pokémon. That constant state of low-level hassle, the humid technical compromise, it all just felt normal. It wasn't until much later that I realized how much energy went into simply navigating that environment every day. My digital world started thanks to my sister and an old desktop running Windows XP. Around 2008, that machine was the focus point. My time was split between socializing—using Hotmail, sending Nudges and Winks on MSN Messenger—and pure escapism: the Cartoon Network website games and hours spent in YoVille. While I was learning basic HTML on MySpace to nail an aesthetic, the real soundtrack was the early reggaetón coming from passing cars and slow LimeWire downloads. Acquiring music was a commitment. It meant getting an MP3, then moving the track to players like the SanDisk Sansa e200. You had to earn that track, often by compiling it onto a burned CD for the car or friends. That sense of ownership over a hard-won, curated digital space is something you really miss. The digital world started to standardize when I shifted to Facebook around 2008, trading chaotic customization for structure. This echoed the bigger shift: when opportunities stalled out, the family made the necessary, painful call to "brincar el charco". Moving to Texas in 2015 was the definitive break into adulthood. It was instantly higher bandwidth—faster life, new slang, and the cold realization of how many minor adjustments I'd made just to live in the old environment. The move forced me to build an entire life from scratch. Somewhere in that process of adapting, love showed up—the kind of connection that flips your world and provides a true anchor. Simultaneously, I happen to stumble upon a career... things just fell in place. At the end, the "saudade" is hard to get rid off. It’s more than just nostalgia; it’s that deep, bittersweet longing for a specific version of life, a sense of absence that's now part of your ongoing story. But the core directive remains simple: Keep moving forward. Your own drive is the only fuel that matters.
