I am so in love and obsessed with Vincent’s Symbolisms and acts of love because it’s so freaking beautiful like how could one write such a masterpiece- Vincent was confirmed gay and he had loved Rody, he himself could not taste and had never felt many feelings in general, mammon and him had probably flirted and may have even spend a night together and when Rody appeared and he noticed and saw Rodys love and determination for his beloved Mammon and that to Rody, Vincent’s food was tasteless as in rody‘s words it lacked "love"- to Vincent it was an inspiration- what is love- it takes the simple feeling right? So he had planned to feed his love to him- show love- make him feel it- Vincent couldn’t taste- he did not understand Rodys views so he made his dish in a more literal way- feeding Rody love- his love. Vincent had realised his Feelings for Rody at some point and in ending 3 he had finally gotten the idea- what if it was a taste even he could feel? A taste that did not need taste but the simple feeling? Vincent had most likely never experienced having a meal with actual love as his mother most likely did not prepare such- Rody was his love and so he went to taste him. Taste love. Keep his love. Because their real love was not allowed. They together were prohibited. Had they just waited one more day- had Rody not entered the freezer and stayed at his job a bit longer then- then they would have been one- they could have been one because the next day was the day of the French legalisation of gay marriages. Their love- or Vincent’s love may have been fulfilled with an emptier stomach in another life as Rody would live on with that dark pit in his for the rest of his life. All alone with that burning pile and 15 other jobs.
