You like Talking Heads? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Remain in Light came out in the 80s, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. They were known for their fusion of punk, funk, and world music influences, creating a unique sound that set them apart from other bands of the time. In '83, they released this; Speaking in Tongues, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Once in a Lifetime." A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about becoming a captive in your own life and the existential crisis it entails but also resonates with the band's own journey and their questioning of societal norms. Hey Paul!
