The Bird and The Fox
The bird and the fox were old friends. They haven't met each other for a very long time. Until one day, when the bird was awake in its cage, the fox finds its way towards the bird.
It was a normal day for the bird. Another day of obeying rules, keeping to its place inside the cage. But then, the fox came. The fox was supposed to just stay as a memory, so why is it here?
"Little bird, why are you still pretending to be someone you are not?" The fox tilted its head. "You know you don't belong there."
The bird can only stay quiet. What would its answer even going to be? The fox was right. But then, the next word uttered by the fox was utterly baffling for the bird. "Do you not want freedom?"
Freedom. A strange concept for the bird. Is it even allowed to want such thing? But... the bird would be lying if it said it doesn’t want that, that it has never thought of that. It has. Countless of times. But the bird keeps suppressing those thoughts. The bird wasn't allowed to feel them.
Though now that the fox has asked the bird that...
What do you think would the bird choose?
