About me:

I like Buck-Tick (if you can't tell)
What I Listen To: Hello I'm Daisy and i love the Rock/Vkei band, Buck-Tick (my pfp is the bassist, Yuta Higuchi) "What is vkei though?" You ask. Vkei "is a category of Japanese musicians that have a strong focus on extravagant stage costumes that originated in Japan during the early 1980s" (sorry for the quote I don't want to be wrong on this) and has many amazing Bands that helped found vkei. One of them being Buck-Tick! in the beginning (after Atsushi bleaches his hair and puts it up) they had a British New Wave sound to them with I really like and (I think) they put care and effort into their makeup back then (and I think they still do now) which made them gain the iconic amazing vkei look. They started to change their sound dramatically in the album 'Aku no Hana' which really lent into the darker feel they were aiming at from the last album 'Taboo'. (this isn't very necsary to explain but in 1989 Imai (the lead guitarist and back up vocalist) was caught with LSD possession at a airpot and they nearly disbanded. But with all the pleading fans telling them not to disband and over 3,000 fans outside the court for Imai's hearing that probably convinced them enough not to disband!) -yayyyy- this may have caused the change or just some other reason that I need to be educated on uh please prove me wrong kindly and without unkindness as i'm very sensitive! "The great shift", as I like to call it, really started when the band released the album 'Kurutta Taiyo' or 'Crazy Sun' on the 21st of Febuary 1991. This album took a massive 900 hours to record as the band wanted to put a lot of effects and care into this album to make it there best yet. I personally absolutely love this album as it continues into the darkness and Astushi focuses more on his native language, Japanese. He shifts his lyrics to things more personal to him and stops trying to be 'cool' by shoving in as much English as possible. I personally think every song is unique and special with beautiful composition and amazing lyrics, if I could some up the entire album into a few words I would say. glistening and dark. the album showed its success by becoming Buck-Tick's best selling album of all time, selling a whopping 400,000 copies in a month of its release and placed number 2 on the Oricon charts! WIP

Who I'd like to meet:

- Any of the Buck-Tick members. - Any voice actor from the Persona games.
