Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer for this step. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, and beat until well combined. Add Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough. Form Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
