Bram Stoker's Blurbs
About me:
Location: Chelsea, London Birthday: November 8,1847 - April 20,1912 I was born in Dublin, Ireland to Abraham Stoker and Charlotte Mathilda Blake Thornley. I was the third of seven children so it was crowded! When I was seven I contracted an illness that left be bedridden until school started, which was great because I'm a very thoughtful person and I have a lot of time to think about things. Later in my formative years, I attended Trinity College in Dublin and I excelled as an athlete. I graduated with honors in mathematics and went on to publish my first paper on Sensationalism in Fiction and Society. In 1878, I married my beautiful wife Florence Balcombe, who was the ex-wife of Oscar Wilde. We then moved to London and I became manager of the Lyceum theatre in the west end. On December 31, 1879, we had our first and only child. His name was Irving Noel Thornley Stoker. Over this phase of my life, I got very involved in London's high class society and I also traveled the world. Although, I have never been to Eastern Europe, the setting for Dracula. I was invited to the White House twice where I met fellows such as Theodore Roosevelt and Walt Whitman. Walt, I found to be particularly special. So much so that i wrote a letter to him detailing how much I love him in 1872. Later in my life I began to suffer a number of strokes, until I eventually died in 1912.
