The hit Japanese video game series Yakuza, also known as Like a Dragon or Ryu Ga Gotoku. Produced by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios and spanning 11 main series games including the Kiwami remakes of 1 and 2, as well as the Judgment spin-offs, the historical spin-offs and their respective remakes, Kenzan and Ishin. The psp exclusive games Kurohyou, the gacha games, and the solo spin-offs, The Man Who Erased His Name, Dead Souls, and Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, releasing February 21st of this year. There are other things I like but I wanted an excuse to yap about Yakuza. I really like Yakuza.

Movies

I've been on a crusade to catch up to a bunch of movies that I've missed out on by watching one every day and loggingthem in a notebook, as well as on Letterboxd. As of January 10th 2025, I am on 557 films with the last one watched being The Shape of Water (2017), directed by Guillermo Del Toro. The movie for tomorrow will be Birdboy: The Forgotten Children (2015), directed by Alberto Vasquez and Pedro Rivero. This blurb will be updated when I feel like it

Television

I've been doing something similar with TV shows as I have with the movies but in a much slower process. I log them in an app but I take my time with most shows. I like Community, Dexter and Gurren Lagann. I've given myself the terrible task of speedrunning One Piece before the hiatus ends and using this year as my year of Kamen rider. After watching 7 episodes of One Piece a day and 6 episodes of Kamen Rider a day, I am on One Piece Episode 617 and Kamen Rider episode 30. This blurb will also be updated when I feel like it.

Books

I fucking love books. They made me become an English major. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller and The Idiot by Fryodor Dostoyevsky will always be my favorites. Fuck Stephen King though, that old bastard made better books when he was coked up with cabin fever but then he made Tommyknockers and that book makes me want to rip off his head. Also fuck him for It as well, I despise that book. Good movies though. I like the Tim Curry one more.
