General

Anything engineering related, except biology. Gaming (this includes but is not limited to Minecraft, modded Minecraft, BeamNG, From the Depths, Stardew Valley, War Thunder, Kerbal Space Program, Factorio). Been doing lots of roleplaying with my friends too. I collect lots of old tech including consoles, displays, and floppy disks {brrt brrt}. Aerospace and engines are my jam. Vacuum tubes and other associated evacuated glass goodies. Cars!

Music

Instrumental things mostly. Still a fan of electro swing; it's what I hoped the 2020s would be. Currently on a Caravan Palace kick. Lots and lots of old chiptune that is genuine and not just retro-sounding beep boop. (Samples are cheating, sound synthesis is legit).

Movies

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oppenheimer was pretty cool however the countdown timer in the movie uses nixie tubes, a technology that wouldn't exist for another decade. Also they're Soviet style nixie tubes. Sorry!

Television

How It's Made was my childhood. As for now I've abandoned the TV for YouTube. Too many streaming services and there are no shows that interest me anymore. Really want to record stuff on VHS for the luls. Probably some adventures in REPO... shame the game can't run in 4:3

Books

Lots of nerd crap. I mean real nerd crap like rocket textbooks. I'm trying to write my own bit of fiction as well :) Just recently read the Apollo Murders trilogy, really cool! What other fiction writer actually knows what the inside of an airlock smells like?

Heroes

Idols? Ew. Instead I'm going to list some advice that I try to live by:

+ Always seek to understand someone's point of view or the way that they are. If you want to empathize with someone, go the extra distance to be compassionate as well.

+ Choose quality over luxury. Satisfaction over clout. You may spend money however you like, but you must not waste it.

+ Time always tells.

+ Do things that add value to the world. Work hard, be kind.

+ A lavare la testa all'assino si spreca acqua e sapone. Washing the head of a donkey wastes water and soap.
(Trying to reason with a stubborn person is a waste of time.)

+ It doesn't matter how correct you are; if you are a jerk, nobody who needs to hear your message will listen to you. In fact, they may harden their own stance in defiance.

Feel free to give me more and I might add them to this list. No guarantees as they really have to resonate with me and I'll have to put them into my own words.
