Armastus's Interests

General

I love my dearest husband, my darling wife, horror, reading research papers on bizarre medical cases for fun, collecting pins and patches, video essays, nonfiction, fiction, mythology, simultaneously taking everything too seriously and not giving a damn, and all forms of art, from animation to pyrography.

Music

Will listen to just about everything save for a significant amount of pop. We all have limits.

Favorite lyricists of all time include:

- MF DOOM

- Megan Thee Stallion

- Danny Elfman

- Zebulon Whatley

Talking Heads daughter, Oingo Boingo son.

Movies

My favorite horror movies of all time:

- Nope 🌩️

- The Thing 🩸

- Get Out ☕

- Spree 📱

- Beetlejuice 🪲

- Re-Animator💉

- Trick 'r Treat 🍫

My favorite animated movies of all time:

- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse🕸️

- Wendell & Wild 😈

- Paprika 🪞

- The Iron Giant 🔩

- Coraline 🪡

- Alice in Wonderland🍄 (1951)

- Who Framed Roger Rabbit? 🥕

Television

Currently watching Columbo and loving the hell out of it.

Proud Samurai. ⚔️

Indie horror lover. Mascot horror hater. Lifelong Nancy Drew fan. Psychonaut. Simmer. Dancer of grim fandangos. Gravity Bone changed me. I love Stewart Copeland because of Spyro the Dragon and not the other way around.

American McGee's Alice is my wife, and so is Daniella-Haunting-Ground. Unfortunately extremely attracted to Agent 47 (and a not insignificant number of the TF2 mercs). Unapologetically extremely attracted to Pagan Min, and I didn't even play the accursed game. I did play Persona 5, though, and all I got was really, really angry at the plot — it's a 100-hour long visual album for Shoji Meguro now...just like Catherine. The same fate befell Skullgirls.

Beware: should you mention The Witcher 3 around me, I will not shut up. The memes are true.

Books

I'll get back to you on this one. Absolutely must read more. Especially the Tanakh.

Heroes

Service workers.

Armastus's Blurbs

About me:

Hello! Call me Armastus. I'm an adult in my mid-20s. My pronouns are he/him. Script doctor by trade. Actual madman and proud.

Bisexual, bigender, bipolar, and a Gemini.

Seeker of pain and pleasure in equal measure!

Alternatively ascetic and decadent.

Confident and praise-seeking, yet mortified by attention.

Patient, but prone to rage. (Hey, even Jesus flipped tables.)

Honest to the point of devastation; lies to survive.

Hates poetry, always ends up producing it.

A curved, distorted virtual stamp that reads 'This stamp is all wiggly :3' A virtual stamp with the mascot for Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner, a circular scrubbing brush, staring directly forward. The caption reads 'You have no fucking idea what you're up against' A black virtual stamp with a Groucho Marx quote that reads: 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' A pink virtual stamp with white text that fills up the entire stamp all the way to the edges with 'AAAAAA' to represent continuous screaming. A gold-colored virtual stamp decorated at the edges with a chain of five-pointed stars. Two half moons sit on opposite ends of the body of the stamp. It contains a quote by Les Brown that reads: 'Shoot for the moon. If you miss, you'll land among the stars.' A virtual stamp with a pixel art illustration of a carton of milk. There's a red-and-white striped straw in the carton. The caption is 'Milk lover.' A virtual stamp made to look like a white embroidered patch with lacy edges and a pink bow at the bottom. It reads 'I (heart symbol) handmade.' An animated virtual stamp with a pixel art illustration of a full moon above city skyline at night. White stars glitter in the backdrop, which is a gradient of purple to blue. The caption reads 'I love to stay up late.' A green, animated stamp with flashing letters that reads 'I <3 my boyfriend.' A virtual stamp horizontally divided in half. The top half is pink and says 'I like girly things' The bottom half is black and says 'and dark things.' A virtual stamp with an image of a person's legs. They are wearing a pair of knee-high black-and-white horizontal stripe socks. It is captioned 'Stripy Socks' in typewriter-style font, with inky serifs. There's a black-and-white horizontally striped heart below the text. A virtual stamp with a dark, black and white photo of a forest. A black virtual stamp that reads 'Give me HORROR' in white text. The word 'horror' is corrupted and appears to be dripping wet. An animated virtual stamp with a grid pattern: large black squares divided by thin white lines. It flashes text that reads '[EDGY PHRASE]'. A virtual stamp with a grainy, black and white image of a sad, Pierrot-like clown. It's a cropped version of the the cover for the Oingo Boingo album 'Boingo.' An animated virtual stamp of an illustration depicting members of the virtual band Gorillaz. The four members are in silhouette, with only white eyes and a skeleton pattern showing on the body of the singer, 2D. The image pulses with a chromatic aberration effect. A virtual stamp with an illustration of Miles Morales in his Spiderman suit beneath his hoodie, as he appears in Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse. A virtual stamp with a pixelated version of the Oingo Boingo logo: the band's name in a quirky, yellow font. An animated virtual stamp of a pixelated grid landscape that appears to move forward infinitely. The grid pattern is thin magenta lines on large blue squares, and it disappears into a magenta sunrise or sunset in a black sky. A virtual stamp with a black-to-green gradient that reads 'Miskatonic University Cheerleader.'

Who I'd like to meet:

Here for the strange, the unusual, the crazies (real ones: clusters!), the autists, the cringe-y, the Unwanted. You know who you are. I want to hear from you. I love to listen as much as I love to talk (a lot) and don't mind five-hour discussions, infodumps, venting, rants, raves...

Honestly? I consider it more of a tragedy than a horror. It was painful but entertaining, and a very effective demonstration of the obsession and spectacle that characterizes modern-day violence. There was opportunity for snobbery and explicit belittlement of today's youth that the directors didn't take, and I appreciate that.

Anyway hiiii thanks for the add. ^-^ It's nice to meet someone from South America, I'm of Dominican blood 🫶🏻

Meg's a horror lover, too. Wouldn't be surprised if she collabed with Elfman someday (her "Elfman number," afaik, would be uh, 1). Check out the music video for "Don't Stop" and you'll see what I mean ;)
