Hi, all!
Let me introduce myself in a way that will help you understand our interactions should you find me strange and, worse, defensive (because I do that, unfortunately, and I'm working on that). I have ADHD, am a child abuse survivor, a former IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist) Christian, a former atheist, and a former Wiccan. lol That's a lot of formers for me to have been. But I've been on a very interesting journey since leaving the family cult at 23 (I left emotionally and mentally a couple years earlier). I should make a blog post detailing that journey and link it here soon.
There! Now that we have the weird shit out of the way, I can move onto more positive things like what makes my eyes sparkle with delight. I love Stouffer's mac & cheese (a little too much, if you ask my muffin top), artsy journals, stickers, gel pens, interesting mugs, rooms full of plants, burning incense, scarves, sweaters, big bay windows to sit in, antique books, singing bowls, waterfalls, old growth forests, mountains, the ocean, celestial art, folklore, fairies, dragons, owls, cottagecore, liminal spaces, anthropology, archaeology, pre-history, pseudo-history (I love reading other people's wacky beliefs about human history, some of it makes some sense actually), cave systems, brutalism, art nouveau, Lovecraftian fiction, and soft white Christmas lights year round.
My current beliefs about the nature of reality is this: I believe in reincarnation. I believe I am one singular being that has taken different forms and multiple human forms. I believe you are too. I believe we all came to this reality for different reasons, but mostly to realize what it means to be human and take a physical form. I believe that all religions are based on the same "God", a being that is far beyond our understanding and cannot simply be assigned human characteristics that we often assign to gods. I will expound on this further in a later blog post. I believe that all matter is energy and we attract what we obsess about. I obsess over my financial situation, so I am currently poor (that's also capitalism, but that's also something that we attracted). But I also meditate and focus on stability and having what I need, and I am stable and have everything I need, no matter what. Periodically I am able to attract small amounts of wealth to me. Could this all be confirmation bias? Absolutely. But it's working out for me so far, and gives me something to achieve. In any case, I am at peace. I am by no means perfectly healthy and living an abundant life, but I'm not meant to right now. I have to work towards that energetically. My purpose for this life was to heal the generational trauma that I inherited from my family and in doing so help others heal their traumas. When more and more people throw off the chains their families put on them, the whole planet will heal herself and be free from the oppressive regimes that have put her and her children through hell. And if you don't believe me, just look at the strikes hitting corporations where it hurts. Look at people quitting their shitty jobs and demanding better pay and better treatment. This shit is happening, and it's happening fast. (All of this probably should have been its own blog post, but I'm too lazy to backspace now.)
If I haven't scared you off yet with my admittedly fringe beliefs, you have now reached the end of this lengthy About Me section. I may add more in the future, but until then...
...Just be.
