Preuss's Blurbs
About me:
I'm just a guy who likes to read about philosophy, listen to classical music and watch anime in his spare time. I may or may not be working on some type of art project that may or may not be of dubious quality.
Who I'd like to meet:
People with the same interests that I have. I dream of someday making a visual novel or a game and would like to know people that are interested in maybe collaborating on this.

I haven't actually read Hegel yet, but his famously indecipherable prose strikes me as something poetic rather than just a very specific type of jargon that is particularly hard to understand (which is the standard commentary people do on the issue of Hegel's style).
When compared to Marx, it becomes necessary to point out how close Hegel is to Kant, much closer than he is to the father of "scientific socialism". In ancient philosophy, one could move between the materialist and idealist traditions with relative ease. Even Plato, the supreme idealist of the day, was forced to recognize that matter was eternal and indestructible - a first principle. However, after German Idealism the transition becomes a lot more complicated and the divide between both schools deepens considerably. For obvious reasons his ontological inquiry seems deeper than anything Marxism can offer, but, at the same time, to devote so many efforts to ontological inquiry is only to prove that philosophers do indeed limit themselves to interpreting the world when, in fact, what is needed is to transform it.
